To provide grant amount of up to Rs 10 lakh to the farmers of Bihar state for construction of warehouses for storing the grains produced by them, the Bihar government has recently started Bihar Godam Nirman Yojana 2024, through which the government will provide 40 to 50% subsidy of the total expenditure for construction of warehouses ranging from 100 MT to 200 MT to the farmers, which is 40% for the general category and 50% for Scheduled Castes and Tribes.
Under this scheme, 108 godowns of 100 metric tons and 46 godowns of 200 metric tons will be constructed in the fields of the farmers in the state.
