Harischandra Sahayata Yojana 2024

The government of Odisha has started Harischandra Sahayata Yojana for the economically poor families of the state. Through this scheme, if any citizen of the economically weak family of the state dies, then financial assistance of Rs. 2000 to Rs. 3000 will be provided to his family members for his last rites. Through this scheme, the government of Odisha has approved a big budget of Rs. 14 crore to provide financial assistance for the last rites of the families of the state who are poor and whose family members have died.

Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs. 2000 will be provided for the last rites of the citizens of rural areas and Rs. 3000 for the last rites of the citizens of urban areas. Through this scheme, 39 vehicles will be provided to 29 districts of the state and 3 vehicles to 6 medical colleges for carrying dead bodies.
